Group 1

Energy Efficiency

  • Delve: Identify energy-inefficient systems or habits, like leaving lights on or using energy-intensive appliances; water consumption; leaky taps. Look at the School/ Home electricity bill for consumption patterns.
  • Discuss: How practical is it to use alternative energy-solar grids-windmills. Research and know how different communities across India have adopted energy and water conservation practices. Identify the challenges.
  • Devise: Design a plan for reducing electricity and water wastage; ways to conserve-recycle waste water.
  • Demonstrate: Show the process of implementing the plan to conserve water / electricity throughout the school/ Home.
Group 2

Sustainable Transportation

  • Delve: Find out the staff and students walking to school, cycling, carpooling, or using the use of public transit for commutes. Mode of transportation used for field trips and other visits.
  • Discuss: the practicality of alternatives. The type of fuel, fuel consumption, EVs, used in school transportation? Time schedules of commute by different stakeholders. The cost of transportation.
  • Devise: Design a plan to shift better alternatives
  • Demonstrate: Show the process of implementation and the challenges and positives of such a plan.
Group 3

Waste Reduction & Recycling

  • Delve: Identify points of waste generation in school premise.
  • Discuss: Brainstorm and identify strategies to reduce overall waste; increase recycling rates; arrive at a consensus on recycle, reduce, and reuse of waste.
  • Devise: Design a practical plan for Garbage segregation; recycling and reuse of waste at the different generation points.
  • Demonstrate: Shift from single-use plastic use to alternatives; reuse and recycling of waste.

Output:

  • Group work (distribute Three Focus Areas across grades 3-12) Or as an Individual choose either Focus Area 2 or 3
  • Make a ppt/ reel/ poster/ painting/ drawing/ mind map/ skit. for all 4 points
  • 200-500-word report on justifying your self-ranking between 4 to 0. Rate yourself between four and zero; where zero means you are on your way towards positive climate action.

Invites you to an Exciting Climate Action Campaign

Zero Toh Hero FairGaze "Zero Toh Hero" Climate Action campaign brings together schools and students to collectively look for practical solutions in their school/ home contexts to reduce human-caused emissions.
The students, in their schools/ home, will brainstorm actionable strategies and steps to bring down carbon emissions and limit global warming and stabilize Earth's climate.

Steps:

1. Open for Grades 3-12.

2. Participate as a school group withe 3 Collaborative teams working on the Three Focus Areas OR Choose one Focus area as an individual in the context of your Home.

3. Delve, Discuss, Devise, and Demonstrate on the Three Focus Areas within School OR Home to Work Towards Net Zero:

  • Energy Efficiency, Conservation and Change in Habits (4 points)
  • Sustainable Transportation (4 points)
  • Waste and Water Reduction, Recycling, Water Conservation (4 points)

4. Make either a single ppt/ reel/ poster/ painting/ drawing/ mind map/ skit to show the challenge and your solution (for all 4 points)

5. A 200-500-word report on justifying your Self-ranking between 4 to 0

6. Upload on the FairGaze website

Details of the Campaign

Grades 3-12.

Who can participate-Any School from India. Participate as a school group withe 3 Collaborative teams working on the Three Focus Areas OR Choose one Focus area as an individual in the context of your Home

Contest fee- The contest is FREE to participate.

Make- single ppt/ reel/ poster/ painting/ drawing/ mind map/ skit

Mode of participation- Online.

Language of submission- Hindi/English.


Campaign Duration: 4th November 2025 and Ends on 14th January 2026
